Join OSM Thome as an Electrician (ELEC) on a cement carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems on board, supporting smooth vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment, switchboards, and power distribution systems
- Carry out troubleshooting on motors, generators, lighting, and automation systems
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on all electrical installations
- Support the operation and maintenance of cement cargo discharge and conveying systems
- Ensure all work is done safely and in line with company and vessel procedures
- Requirements:
- Previous sea experience as Electrician / ETO, preferably on cement carriers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and perform fault-finding independently
- Good English communication skills and a strong safety mindset
