Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook onboard an offshore construction vessel trading worldwide. You will lead the galley team and make sure all crew are well fed with safe, tasty and nutritious meals in a clean and well-organized kitchen.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Manage galley staff and daily galley operations
- Ensure proper hygiene, cleanliness and food safety at all times
- Monitor and control food and galley stores, including ordering and stock rotation
- Follow vessel catering budget and company standards
- Prepare menus, including special diets when required
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook on offshore or seagoing vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents as required
- Good knowledge of galley safety, food handling and hygiene rules
- Ability to plan menus and manage provisions for multi-national crew
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty and willing to work worldwide
