Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on an Offshore Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel trading in Romania, joining on 21st of September, for single trip - 6 weeks . You will support safe navigation, deck operations, and anchor handling work as part of a professional offshore team.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand navigational watch and assist the Chief Officer and Master
- Plan and execute voyages in line with COLREGs and company procedures
- Assist in anchor handling, towing, and supply operations
- Monitor and update charts, publications, and navigational equipment
- Support deck crew during offshore operations and cargo work
- Ensure safety, permit-to-work, and toolbox talks are followed
- Participate in drills, inspections, and routine safety checks
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch (Deck) license or higher
- Experience as 2nd Officer or OOW, preferably on AHTS or similar vessels
- Valid offshore and basic safety certificates (including DP FULL)
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to work in offshore operations
