Experienced Chief Engineer for Offshore PSV in Brazil. Lead engine operations with OSM Thome on a dynamic offshore vessel.
OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join our offshore PSV operations in Brazil. You will be responsible for safe and efficient running of all engine room machinery and technical systems onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all engine room operations and maintenance
- Lead, train and supervise engine room crew
- Ensure safe operation of main engines, auxiliaries and all ship systems
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts consumption and ordering
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to company standards
- Ensure compliance with flag, class, and company safety procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license (STCW, III/2 or equivalent)
- Experience as C/E on offshore vessels, preferably PSV
- Good knowledge of engine room systems, DP-related equipment and PMS
- Valid offshore certificates and medical fit for service
- Good English communication skills
