- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, and all engine room equipment
- Carry out routine checks, inspections, and planned maintenance jobs
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any irregularities
- Support bunkering, fuel transfers, and pollution prevention procedures
- Follow safety and permit-to-work procedures at all times
- Keep engine room spaces clean, safe, and well organized
- Assist with drills and emergency response as per company SMS
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or higher) CoC, preferably with tanker endorsement
- Oil/Chemical tanker experience or relevant engine room sea service
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker certificates
- Medical fitness certificate and all mandatory travel documents for Schengen area
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow company procedures
