Join OSM Thome as Messman on our oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will support the galley and accommodation team, helping to keep good order, clean facilities and proper catering service for the crew.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Cook in meal preparation and serving
- Clean galley, mess rooms, pantries and stores
- Wash dishes, utensils and galley equipment
- Maintain proper housekeeping in crew and officer mess rooms
- Handle garbage segregation and disposal as per ship procedures
- Follow all safety and hygiene rules on board
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Messman or similar position at sea preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
- Basic knowledge of galley and mess room routines
- Ready to work in a multinational crew and follow chain of command
