Join OSM Thome as a Motorman / Oiler on a shuttle tanker trading off Brazil. We are looking for a steady, hands-on seafarer who takes pride in keeping machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering team with operation and routine checks of main and auxiliary engines
- Carry out oiling, greasing and cleaning of engine room machinery and equipment
- Perform basic maintenance, such as filter changes, packing, and tightening of fittings
- Monitor machinery parameters and report any irregularities to engineering officers
- Keep engine room spaces, tools and work areas clean, safe and well organized
- Assist in bunkering operations and safe handling of fuel and lubricants
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler license and STCW certificates in accordance with Brazilian and international regulations
- Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on tankers or shuttle tankers
- Good knowledge of engine room operations and safe working practices
- Tanker-related and safety certificates as required for shuttle tanker service
- Fit for duty, good teamwork skills and ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Ability to work in a multinational crew and communicate in English
