Set sail as Chief Officer on a modern car carrier trading worldwide. Take charge of deck operations and navigation, support the Master, and help us run safe, efficient voyages across the globe.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, stowage, securing, and discharging of vehicles
- Assist the Master with navigation, watchkeeping, and ship handling
- Lead and manage the deck crew in all deck and mooring operations
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment, safety gear, and lifesaving appliances
- Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and company procedures
- Conduct safety drills and promote a strong safety culture onboard
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (STCW II/2)
- Experience as C/O or 1/O on car carriers or similar vessel types
- All required STCW certificates and valid seagoing documents
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership, communication, and shipboard safety focus
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
