Join OSM Thome as Master (CPT) on board modern LPG/Ethylene tankers trading worldwide. Lead a safe, efficient and compliant vessel operation while guiding and developing your crew in a professional working environment.
- Key responsibilities:
- Overall command of the vessel, crew and cargo operations
- Ensure safe navigation, mooring and manoeuvring at all times
- Maintain strict compliance with company, flag state and international regulations
- Oversee cargo handling, loading/discharging and gas operations with focus on safety
- Lead onboard safety culture, drills and emergency preparedness
- Manage crew performance, discipline and training
- Coordinate with office, charterers, terminals and port authorities
- Requirements:
- Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) CoC
- Proven experience as Master on LPG and/or Ethylene tankers
- Strong knowledge of tanker safety, ISM, ISPS and MARPOL
- Good leadership, communication and crew management skills
- Valid STCW certificates, tanker endorsements and medicals
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Willingness to work in worldwide trade and mixed-nationality crews
