Set sail with OSM Thome as Chief Cook on a shuttle tanker operating out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Take charge of the galley, serve good, safe food to the crew, and keep high standards of hygiene and order on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Order, receive, and properly store all food supplies
- Control food cost, portions, and stock levels
- Maintain galley, mess rooms, and storage areas clean and safe
- Follow company and vessel hygiene and safety procedures
- Work closely with the Master and Chief Officer on catering matters
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook, preferably on tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Strong knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene
- Ability to plan menus and manage provisions for long voyages
- Good communication skills in English
