Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on an oil/chemical tanker sailing from a Schengen port. You will be part of a professional engine team, helping to keep all machinery safe, efficient and ready for operation.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine officers with operation and routine maintenance of main engine and auxiliaries
- Carry out oiling, greasing, cleaning and engine room housekeeping
- Monitor machinery parameters and report abnormalities
- Perform daily rounds in engine room and related spaces
- Follow safety, environmental and permit-to-work procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) license and STCW certificates
- Recent experience on oil/chemical tankers preferred
- Good knowledge of engine room routines and safe working practices
- Valid medical certificate and seaman’s book
- Ability to work in a mixed crew and follow instructions clearly
