Start your sea-going career with OSM Thome as an Engine Cadet on a car carrier trading worldwide. Work closely with the engine team, gain hands-on experience with machinery and daily engine room operations, and build a strong foundation for your future as an engineer officer.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine officers and crew in daily engine room duties
- Support routine maintenance, checks, and repairs of machinery and equipment
- Monitor engine room parameters under supervision
- Follow safety procedures and take part in drills
- Keep engine spaces, tools, and work areas clean and in good order
- Complete cadet training tasks and maintain training records
- Requirements:
- Completed or ongoing maritime engineering education
- Valid STCW basic safety training and medical fitness certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Team player with a positive and safety-minded attitude
- Ready to work and live onboard worldwide trading vessels
