OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to sail on crude oil tankers trading worldwide.
If you are confident with electrical and electronic systems at sea and enjoy hands-on work onboard, this could be the right job for you.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment onboard, including power generation and distribution systems
- Carry out troubleshooting on control systems, automation and instrumentation
- Perform planned maintenance and keep accurate records in line with company procedures
- Support safe and efficient cargo and ballast operations from an electrical/automation point of view
- Assist with dry-docking, inspections and commissioning of equipment when required
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure safe and reliable vessel operations
Requirements
- Valid Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) / Electrical Engineer license and relevant STCW certificates
- Sea service experience as Electrical Engineer / ETO, preferably on crude oil tankers
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, automation and instrumentation
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and willing to work worldwide
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently and in a team
