Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on SOVs in Denmark. Support galley operations and serve quality meals offshore.
Join OSM Thome, IWS as a 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on our Service Operation Vessels (SOV) operating offshore Denmark. You will support the Chief Cook in preparing good, healthy meals for the crew and offshore technicians, keeping the galley clean and well-organized, and helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety onboard.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking daily meals for crew and technicians
- Help with baking, salads, and special diet meals when required
- Support in menu planning, food handling, and portion control
- Maintain galley cleanliness and hygiene according to vessel standards
- Assist with receiving, checking, and proper storage of provisions
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Relevant seafarer cook/assistant cook experience, preferably offshore
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for duty
- Food handler/catering or cook-related certification
- Good level of English for work and safety communication
- Ability to work in a small team and follow instructions from Chief Cook
- Willingness to work in a busy galley environment on rotation offshore Denmark
