Join OSM Thome as Gas Engineer on LNG tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional shipboard team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the cargo and gas systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and maintain LNG cargo, gas and reliquefaction systems
- Carry out routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on gas equipment
- Ensure safe cargo handling, cooling down, loading, discharging and gas freeing operations
- Keep accurate records, logs and reports related to cargo and gas plant performance
- Follow company and international safety procedures and environmental standards
- Support the deck and engine teams in all gas-related operations and training
Requirements
- Previous experience as Gas Engineer on LNG or other gas tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and all documents required for service on gas carriers
- Strong knowledge of LNG cargo handling systems and gas plant operations
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset, teamwork attitude and willingness to work worldwide
