OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to work on fully refrigerated LPG tankers trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems onboard.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
- Maintain and repair automation, instrumentation, cargo control and monitoring systems
- Support safe cargo operations and navigation by ensuring all related systems are functioning properly
- Carry out planned maintenance and keep records updated according to company procedures
- Assist the engine department with fault finding and repairs as required
- Follow all safety, environmental and company standards at all times
Requirements
- Valid ETO CoC meeting STCW requirements
- Previous experience as ETO on LPG tankers, preferably fully refrigerated
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Good English communication skills
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Ability to work in a mixed crew and under time pressure during operations
- Must have valid STCW certificates
- Prefers with valid US Visa
