Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping machinery safe, reliable and efficient on international voyages.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist 2nd Engineer and Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Carry out planned maintenance on main engine, auxiliaries and associated machinery
- Monitor and record engine room parameters and report any irregularities
- Support bunkering operations and fuel / lube oil transfers
- Follow company and vessel safety procedures at all times
- Assist with cargo-related equipment and systems as required on chemical tankers
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer CoC, unlimited
- Previous experience on tanker vessels, preferably chemical
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid seafarer’s medical
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a multicultural team
