Join OSM Thome as an Air Conditioning (AC) Engineer on a passenger ferry in Europe. You will be responsible for safe, reliable operation of all HVAC and refrigeration systems onboard, ensuring comfort for passengers and crew in all conditions.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain all AC, ventilation and refrigeration systems
- Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Perform repairs and adjustments to chillers, compressors, air handling units and fan coils
- Ensure correct system balancing, temperature control and air quality throughout the vessel
- Keep maintenance records and report any defects or spare part needs to the Chief Engineer
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations while working
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as AC / HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer at sea, preferably on passenger vessels or ferries
- Relevant technical education and valid STCW certificates
- Good knowledge of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems and controls
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow maker manuals
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a safe working attitude and readiness to work in a busy passenger ship environment
