Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) onboard a Cargo Transfer Vessel (CTV) operating out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting efficient cargo transfer and vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in automation, navigation, communication and control systems.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and testing of electrical equipment and safety systems.
- Ensure compliance with class, flag and company standards for electrical systems.
- Support safe cargo transfer operations by ensuring related systems function correctly.
- Maintain technical records, reports and spare parts for electrical equipment.
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all mandatory STCW certificates.
- Experience as ETO, preferably on offshore or cargo transfer vessels.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems.
- Good English communication skills, written and spoken.
- Ability to work safely in a team and under pressure during operations.
- Fit for duty with valid medical and offshore documents as required.
