Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a PSV operating offshore Brazil. You will be in charge of all engine room operations, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable performance of all machinery and equipment.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliaries and all technical systems
- Lead and supervise engine room crew and allocate daily work
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and class/flag requirements
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Coordinate with Master and shore management on all technical matters
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license (STCW Reg. III/2 or equivalent) suitable for offshore/PSV
- Previous experience as C/E on PSV or similar offshore vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliaries and vessel systems
- Good English communication skills
- Valid offshore certificates and medicals as required for Brazil
