Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in West Africa. Take full charge of the engine department, ensure safe and efficient vessel operations, and support a strong safety culture on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and equipment
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor bunkering, fuel and lube oil consumption and condition
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures
- Lead, train and supervise engine room crew
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer (Motor) license, STCW compliant
- Recent experience as C/E on Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Strong knowledge of engine room operations and tanker systems
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea service
