Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook (C/C) on an offshore support vessel in Taiwan. You will be in charge of the galley, preparing good, safe food for the crew and keeping high standards of hygiene and safety on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Order, receive and store food and galley supplies
- Control stock, avoid waste and keep cost-effective use of provisions
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, pantry and stores
- Follow all food safety, health and vessel safety procedures
- Work closely with the Master and officers on catering matters
- Requirements:
- Seagoing experience as Chief Cook or Cook on offshore / support vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene
- Ability to plan menus and manage provisions for mixed-nationality crew
- Good communication skills in English
