OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook (C/C) to serve onboard an Offshore Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel operating from Romania. If you have strong galley skills, can manage provision control, and enjoy working at sea with multinational crews, this role could be a good fit for you.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the galley and storerooms
- Manage ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies
- Control provisions and avoid waste while keeping within the budget
- Follow all vessel safety and security procedures
- Support a positive atmosphere and good morale onboard
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook, preferably on offshore/AHTS or similar vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good knowledge of galley safety, food hygiene, and stock control
- Ability to cook varied meals for mixed-nationality crews
- Good English communication skills
- Romanian nationality or legal right to work from Romania is an advantage
