Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer (2/E) on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engine team to keep all machinery safe, efficient and reliable during global operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Operate and monitor main engine, auxiliaries and all related systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date and accurate
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and international regulations
- Support bunkering, fuel oil transfers and pollution prevention procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Unlimited) CoC meeting STCW requirements
- Recent experience as 2/E on bulk carriers preferred
- Valid STCW certificates, medical and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills
- Strong teamwork, safety mindset and hands-on attitude in the engine room
