Join OSM Thome as a 3rd Engineer on an LNG tanker trading in Brazilian waters. You will support safe and reliable vessel operations, working closely with the engine team and gaining solid experience in modern LNG systems.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and LNG systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Monitor engine room performance, pressures, temperatures and fuel/oil consumption
- Perform watchkeeping duties in the engine room as per company and flag state rules
- Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work and pollution prevention measures
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer CoC (STCW compliant) suitable for LNG/tanker operations
- Previous seagoing experience as 3/E or 4/E, preferably on tankers or LNG vessels
- All required STCW certificates, medical fitness and valid seaman’s documents
- Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Team player with a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
