Join OSM Thome as Pumpman on a chemical tanker trading in HRA. You will play a key role in safe cargo handling, tank cleaning, and maintenance of all pumps and related systems on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor cargo and ballast pumps during loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Carry out routine checks and maintenance on pumps, lines, valves and associated equipment
- Assist with tank cleaning, gas freeing and preparation for cargo operations
- Support cargo watch on deck, following safety and pollution-prevention procedures
- Report any defects or abnormalities to the responsible officer
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Pumpman on chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of cargo handling systems and tank cleaning operations
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international standards
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills in an international crew
