Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate crew changes and travel in liaison with Masters, Port Agents, and the Personnel Manager.
  • Maintain and update vessel rotation plans.
  • Verify crew certifications, handle visas, and manage flag state documentation.
  • Ensure crew records are accurate and up to date
  • Monitor crew medical/P&I claims and check crew-related invoices.
  • Interview new Officer candidates and suggest promotions based on performance.
  • Ensure compliance with CBAs, MLC, STCW, and flag state requirements.
  • Report weekly on crewing matters to vessel owners.
  • Monitor and audit manning agency performance.

Required Competencies

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ideally holds a relevant qualification in maritime, HR, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of post-graduate crewing experience in the shipping and/or offshore industry.
  • Highly motivated, structured, organised, and quality-driven.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and excellent interpersonal skills.
