Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Background in cost control, project finance, or project controls in large-scale engineering or construction environments.
 - Strong command of financial analysis, cost modelling, and forecasting methods.
 - Proficient in creating and managing cost structures and control tools tailored to project needs.
 - Experience with integrated project management, accounting, and procurement systems.
 - Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
 - Familiarity with contractual structures, intercompany arrangements, and cash flow planning.
 - Advanced Excel and cost simulation tools knowledge (e.g., Monte Carlo, risk modelling software).
 - Skilled in preparing reports for executive and corporate audiences.
 - Degree in Finance, Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related discipline.
 - Proficiency in English.
 
Tasks:
Startup Phase
- Set up the cost tracking system after the contract is awarded.
 - Build the project’s cost structure and link it to accounting and procurement tools.
 - Prepare financial procedures, coding guides, and risk plans.
 - Break down the budget by company, contract, and timeline.
 - Create the cash flow forecast in multiple currencies.
 - Run initial risk assessments with the team.
 - Use simulations to check how risks may impact the budget.
 
Execution Phase
- Keep the cost tracking system up to date and accurate.
 - Monitor progress and compare it to actual spending.
 - Calculate monthly costs and ensure records reflect work completed.
 - Track changes and assess how they affect the budget.
 - Update cost and revenue forecasts regularly.
 - Hold regular risk reviews and follow up on action plans.
 - Share cost reports with project leaders and stakeholders.
 
Closeout Phase
- Help prepare the final cost summary for the project.
 - Organize cost data for future planning and internal reporting.
