Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Strong background in vessel power, automation, and dynamic positioning systems.
- Experience supporting development, maintenance, or upgrades of offshore fleet equipment.
- Ability to evaluate technical feasibility and design concepts for new builds or system upgrades.
- Familiarity with electrical and control systems for specialized offshore equipment (Pipelay/Flex, prefabrication plants).
- Knowledge of standardization practices for hardware/software and safety-critical systems.
- Capability to plan and implement innovative technical solutions.
- Skilled in optimizing technical office resources and workload distribution.
- Willingness to provide on-site technical support for upgrades or maintenance.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Collaborate with operations, commercial, and asset teams to identify vessel/equipment technical needs.
- Prepare feasibility studies and conceptual designs for power and automation upgrades or new builds.
- Support fleet development projects from design through construction and commissioning.
- Oversee electrical supply and control systems for offshore equipment and prefabrication plants.
- Establish guidelines for standardization of control systems, including safety considerations.
- Define execution strategies to develop new capabilities or innovative solutions.
- Streamline technical office workload and enhance team competency.
