Job Mission

Manage and develop the department and the operation of vessels under OSM Thome’s management, ensuring compliance with corporate strategies, QHSE goals, operational cost control, and maximum efficiency of maritime operations, in alignment with owners, charterers, and other company departments.

Main Responsibilities

Manage and lead all activities related to OSM Thome vessel operations;

Implement company-defined strategies and objectives, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance;

Maintain effective communication with owners, charterers, and onboard teams, ensuring proper technical and operational follow-up of vessels;

Ensure vessels operate in accordance with classification societies, maritime authorities, and contractual requirements;

Monitor operational budgets, analyze deviations, and optimize costs;

Supervise maintenance, repairs, drydockings, and vessel insurance processes;

Support and ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies;

Develop the team by promoting technical training and fostering a motivating and collaborative work environment;

Monitor operational indicators and contribute to achieving corporate KPIs;

Ensure efficient communication with General Management, clients, and other internal departments;

Report relevant events and ensure that information regarding vessel arrivals and departures is properly updated with authorities and classification societies.

Requirements and Qualifications

Seagoing experience as Master, Chief Engineer, or 2nd Engineer;

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering or related fields;

Proven experience in Administration, Maritime Economics, Human Resources, and Quality Management;

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills;

Strategic vision and focus on operational and safety results;

Advanced English (spoken and written).
