- Job Title: Welder.
- Project: Seaway Alfalift - Inch Cape project.
- Location: UK.
- Duration: 250 days.
- Rotation: 8 Weeks ON & 4 Weeks OFF or 5 Weeks ON & 5 Weeks OFF .
- Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate.
- Start date: Mid-February 2026.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Proven experience in structural welding, preferably in maritime or heavy-industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Comfortable working at sea on extended rotations and in weather-dependent conditions.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures, hazard controls, and permit-to-work systems.
- Physically able to perform manual handling, confined-space tasks, and work at heights.
- Basic understanding of inspection standards, weld quality criteria, and traceability requirements.
- Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills in an international crew setting.
- English proficiency.
Tasks:
- Execute welding and fitting work on deck structures, cargo-handling components, and support frames.
- Prepare materials by cutting, beveling, grinding, and aligning to job specifications.
- Carry out weld repairs during operations and assist in troubleshooting structural issues.
- Conduct self-checks on completed welds and support non-destructive testing activities.
- Maintain welding equipment, consumables, and work areas in compliance with vessel safety rules.
- Coordinate with rigging, mechanical, and operations personnel during heavy-lift preparations.
- Follow daily work instructions from supervisors and document completed tasks.
- Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement activities onboard.
