Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a passenger ferry in Europe. Support the galley team in preparing good, safe meals for crew and passengers while keeping high hygiene and safety standards on board.

  • Key responsibilities:
    • Assist Chief Cook in daily food preparation and cooking
    • Prepare simple dishes, salads, snacks, and baking as required
    • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items
    • Keep galley, equipment, and stores clean and in good order
    • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times
    • Assist with receiving and checking provisions
    • Support smooth service for crew and passengers during meal times
  • Requirements:
    • Experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook, preferably on passenger vessels or ferries
    • Basic training in cooking or galley work
    • Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
    • Good knowledge of galley hygiene and food safety
    • Ability to work in shifts and under time pressure
    • Good English communication skills
    • Team player with a positive and flexible attitude
