- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts for passengers and crew
- Lead and train pastry staff, ensuring smooth galley operations
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation
- Control stock, order supplies, and reduce waste
- Work closely with the galley team to support menu planning and service
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as Chief Pastry or Senior Pastry Chef, preferably at sea or in large-scale catering
- Formal pastry/bakery training or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
- Good English communication skills
- Valid seagoing documents and medicals as per flag and company requirements
