Join OSM Thome as a Butcher on a passenger ferry in Europe. We are looking for an experienced seagoing butcher who can deliver high-quality cuts and support smooth galley operations for guests and crew.
Key responsibilities
Cut, trim and prepare all types of meat and poultry according to menus and standards
Portion, pack, label and store meat products safely and correctly
Ensure proper thawing, handling and rotation of stock (FIFO)
Maintain highest hygiene and food safety standards in butcher room and cold stores
Assist galley team with daily meal preparation during busy service
Check deliveries for quality, temperature and quantity
Requirements
Previous experience as butcher onboard passenger vessel or in hotel/large catering
Good knowledge of meat cuts, yields and basic menu requirements
Familiar with HACCP and maritime food safety standards
Fit for sea service, able to work in cold rooms and stand for long periods
Valid seafarer documents and medical as per flag and company requirements
