Join OSM Thome as Chief Baker on a passenger ferry in Europe. We are looking for an experienced seafarer baker who can deliver fresh, high-quality bread and pastries daily and support smooth galley operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake bread, rolls, cakes and pastries for passengers and crew
- Plan daily production according to menus and passenger numbers
- Ensure proper storage, rotation and handling of all baking ingredients
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic bakery area at all times
- Follow vessel’s food safety and HACCP procedures
- Work closely with the Galley/Catering team to keep service on time
- Requirements:
- Previous seagoing experience as Chief Baker or Baker on passenger vessels preferred
- Strong skills in bread, pastry and basic confectionery
- Good knowledge of galley hygiene and food safety standards
- Valid seafarer documents and medicals as per STCW
- Good English communication skills
- Able to work in a busy galley and within a multinational team
