Join OSM Thome as Pumpman on our worldwide trading oil/chemical tankers. You will work with an experienced crew, keeping cargo systems safe, efficient, and ready for operation on every voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain cargo and ballast pumps and lines
• Assist with cargo loading, discharging, stripping, and tank cleaning
• Carry out routine checks, lubrication, and minor repairs on deck machinery
• Support safe bunkering, cargo sampling, and transfer operations
• Follow all safety procedures and report any defects or near-misses
• Work closely with deck and engine teams during cargo and port operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as Pumpman on oil/chemical tankers
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
• Good knowledge of cargo pump systems, valves, and pipelines
• Familiar with tanker safety, ISGOTT, and pollution prevention rules
• Able to work safely under pressure and in all weather conditions
• Good English communication and team-working skills
