Join OSM Thome as Chief Steward (C/S) on an Offshore Subsea Support Vessel operating in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will lead the catering team onboard, ensuring a clean, safe and well-run accommodation and galley for all crew and offshore personnel.
- Key responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all catering and housekeeping activities onboard
- Plan menus and oversee food preparation, storage and stock control
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are followed in galley and accommodation
- Organize crew mess, cabins and common areas to maintain a safe and tidy environment
- Coordinate with vessel management on catering budgets and provisioning
- Lead, train and schedule stewards and catering crew
- Requirements:
- Proven sea service as Chief Steward or similar role on offshore / subsea / DP vessels
- Strong background in galley, mess room and accommodation management
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore survival / medical as required for UK sector
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural crew and handle busy offshore operations
