Join OSM Thome as Assistant Cook (2nd Cook) on a passenger ferry in Europe. Support the galley team in preparing good, safe meals for crew and passengers while keeping a clean and orderly working area.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Cook in daily food preparation for crew and passengers
- Prepare basic hot and cold dishes, salads, and snacks
- Follow hygiene, safety and galley cleaning routines
- Receive, check and store provisions correctly
- Support in dishwashing and general galley housekeeping
- Follow company and vessel catering procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Assistant Cook / 2nd Cook at sea, preferably on passenger vessels
- Basic cook/catering training or equivalent seagoing experience
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and high hygiene standards
