Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- STCW Certficates: OOW (Engineering) CoC – STCW A-III/1, STCW Basic Safety: A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, A-VI/1-4, Advanced Firefighting – STCW A-VI/3, PSCRB – STCW A-II/2, Medical First Aid – STCW A-VI/4-1, Security Duties – STCW A-VI/6-2, Leadership & Teamwork (Engine, O/L) – STCW A-III/1, High Voltage (Operational Level) – STCW A-III/1.
- BOSIET, H₂S Awareness, Well Control Level 1.
- Demonstrated competence with high-voltage power generation and power management systems.
- Working knowledge of integrated DP, propulsion, and automation systems.
- Proven ability to manage alarms, faults, and system abnormalities without direct supervision.
- Offshore medical fitness and survival training certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a high-reliability operational environment.
- Commitment to procedural compliance, safety leadership, and continuous improvement.
Tasks:
- Stand engineering and DP watches in accordance with vessel operating philosophy.
- Operate and monitor DP, power generation, and propulsion systems during drilling and standby modes.
- Maintain station-keeping readiness through continuous system assessment and parameter control.
- Execute equipment changeovers, load transfers, and system reconfigurations as required.
- Identify, assess, and stabilize engineering or DP-related abnormalities.
- Record operational data, events, and deviations in engineering and DP logs.
- Conduct routine system testing and performance verification during watch.
- Coordinate with bridge, drilling, and maintenance teams to support operational objectives.
- Apply isolation, tagging, and permit-to-work controls within assigned systems.
- Participate in emergency response actions and DP contingency scenarios.
- Ensure orderly handover of watch status, outstanding issues, and system conditions.
