• Job Title: Senior Telecom Commissioning Engineer.

• Location: Tianjin, China, with the possibility of transferring to an offshore project in Qatar in October 2026.
• Salary: Onshore: USD 5,000 Monthly, Offshore: USD 8,300 Consolidated Monthly
• Rotation: Global mobility with 51 days off per year, distributed across 6 trips. In Qatar: TBC.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Demonstrated involvement in full project lifecycle, from pre-commissioning through handover.
• Strong working knowledge of fiber optic systems, structured cabling, radio systems, and network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as OTDR, spectrum analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, loop diagrams, and system architecture layouts.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (instrumentation, IT, construction).
• Proven capability to manage subcontractors and vendor specialists on-site.
• Understanding of industry standards, QA/QC practices, and commissioning documentation processes.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to resolve integration issues under time constraints.
• Fluency in English; additional languages considered an advantage.

Tasks:

• Execute commissioning activities for telecom systems including data networks, PABX, CCTV, access control, and public address systems.
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure commissioning readiness and identify gaps early.
• Develop and follow system test procedures, method statements, and commissioning plans.
• Supervise installation checks and verify system completeness prior to energization.
• Perform functional testing, loop checks, and system integration with other disciplines.
• Coordinate with vendors to validate system performance and resolve technical discrepancies.
• Support site acceptance testing (SAT) and assist with client inspections and approvals.
• Identify punch list items and track closure in collaboration with construction teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians during commissioning phases.
• Ensure all activities comply with project HSE policies and permit-to-work systems.
• Assist in smooth handover of telecom systems to operations, including training and documentation.
