OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to serve on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. If you are confident in handling electrical and electronic systems at sea, we invite you to explore this opportunity.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment onboard, including power generation and distribution systems
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of automation, control, and monitoring systems
- Look after navigation and communication equipment in cooperation with the bridge team
- Support engine and deck departments with electrical troubleshooting and planned maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and assist in maintaining vessel compliance with class and company standards
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC in accordance with STCW
- Previous experience as ETO on tanker vessels, preferably oil/chemical
- Experience as ETO on ME Engines
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic, and automation systems
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and required offshore/sea-going documents
