Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer onboard a Cargo Transfer Vessel (CTV) operating off Rio de Janeiro. You will support the engine department in keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently during cargo and marine operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines and all engine room equipment
- Carry out routine checks, watchkeeping and record-keeping in the engine room
- Follow planned maintenance and repair jobs as instructed by senior engineers
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and international regulations
- Support bunkering, transfers and other engine room-related operations
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or equivalent) license and STCW certificates
- Previous sea experience in engine department, preferably on offshore or CTV-type vessels
- Good knowledge of marine engines, auxiliaries and safety procedures
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Medically fit for sea service and holding valid seafarer documents
