Information about the job:
- Job Title: Rope Access Supervisor (Scaffolding).
- Project: Various Offshore Vessels.
- Location: Worldwide.
- Duration: 6-month contract (subject to extension).
- Rotation: 1 month on/off.
- Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated Monthly Salary, paid only while working.
- Insurance: Provided by the company.
- Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Rope Access Scaffolder within offshore, industrial, oil & gas, or construction environments.
- Valid IRATA Level 3 certification with up-to-date logbook records.
- Offshore safety certification (BOSIET or equivalent).
- Proven ability to supervise rope access activities and coordinate work teams (for supervisory positions).
- Strong understanding of scaffold installation, modification, inspection, and removal practices.
- Experience working with multiple scaffold types, including access towers, independent systems, suspended, cantilever, and temporary structures.
- Comfortable working at height and in restricted-access areas.
- Knowledge of rope access equipment, rigging methods, and fall protection systems.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, technical instructions, and industry standards.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with crews, supervisors, and clients.
- Ability to complete work documentation, inspection notes, and activity reports.
Tasks:
- Assemble, alter, and dismantle scaffolding systems safely as part of a site team.
- Carry out rope access operations while following approved work methods and safety controls.
- Complete daily checks of ropes, harnesses, tools, and related access equipment.
- Participate in toolbox talks, job planning meetings, and risk assessments.
- Inspect completed scaffold structures and identify any defects or required adjustments.
- Support installation of access solutions such as towers, platforms, edge protection, and specialist scaffold arrangements.
- Perform controlled removal of temporary access structures after work completion.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment condition, work hours, and completed activities.
- Assist with inspections of industrial assets, structures, vessels, and pipework.
- Prepare work summaries, inspection findings, and project documentation.
- Ensure all activities meet company procedures, client requirements, and applicable rope access standards.
