OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Join our crew and take a leading role in safe deck operations and cargo handling on board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all deck crew and deck operations
• Plan and oversee loading, discharging, tank cleaning and cargo handling
• Ensure safe navigation, watchkeeping and bridge team management
• Maintain vessel stability, cargo calculations and ballasting operations
• Oversee maintenance of deck equipment, safety gear and firefighting systems
• Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and company procedures
• Assist the Master in all shipboard operations and emergency response

Requirements

• Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license
• Strong experience on oil/chemical tankers in the same rank or as 2/O with upgrade experience
• Valid STCW certificates, including advanced tanker endorsements
• Good knowledge of cargo handling systems and tanker safety
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
• Good English communication skills
