Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Proven experience overseeing commissioning, start-up, and operational phases of industrial or energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory compliance (international and local).
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Ability to control budgets, schedules, and operational performance.
  • Experience with maintenance systems and asset performance monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of risk management, audits, and safety systems.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, including client-facing responsibilities.
  • Financial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Capability to operate in both office and site-based environments.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages considered an advantage).


Tasks:

  • Plan and oversee commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and participate in audits and incident reviews.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, providing regular updates.
  • Coordinate teams, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors across all phases.
  • Define commissioning sequences, priorities, and operational procedures.
  • Support scheduling, subcontracting, and resource planning.
  • Ensure availability and readiness of equipment, materials, and maintenance systems.
  • Manage plant handover processes and required documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication and operational support.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure safe and efficient performance.
  • Implement and maintain maintenance and safety management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and initiate corrective actions.
  • Control operational budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Supervise contractor performance and logistics activities.
  • Lead team development, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate response to operational risks and emergency situations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned.
