Set sail as 2nd Officer on a car carrier trading worldwide with OSM Thome. You will work in a professional crew, keeping the vessel safe, on schedule, and in full compliance with international rules and company standards.

• Key responsibilities:
• Stand navigational watch and ensure safe passage at sea and in port
• Assist in voyage planning, chart and publication corrections
• Operate and monitor navigational and communication equipment
• Assist the Chief Officer with cargo operations and stability control
• Participate in safety drills, ISM/ISPS compliance and onboard inspections
• Supervise deck ratings and support maintenance of deck equipment

• Requirements:
• Valid 2nd Officer (OOW) Certificate of Competency, STCW compliant
• Previous experience as 2/O, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
• Up-to-date STCW safety training, medical certificate and seaman’s book
• Good English communication skills, spoken and written
• Strong safety mindset, good teamwork and willingness to work worldwide
