Set sail with OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Work closely with the engine team to keep all machinery in good running order and support safe, efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and machinery spaces
- Carry out routine checks, lubrication and cleaning of engine room equipment
- Support bunkering and fuel transfer operations as required
- Follow safety and environmental procedures at all times
- Keep engine room areas tidy and report any defects promptly
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) documents and seafarer’s medical
- Tanker (oil/chemical) experience preferred
- Good spoken and written English
- Fit for engine room duties and willing to work in shifts
- Team-player with a safe and responsible work attitude
