Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on Oil/Chemical tankers trading worldwide. Take a key role in deck operations, cargo handling and navigation, ensuring safe and efficient vessel performance.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise cargo and ballast operations for oil/chemical cargoes
- Oversee deck crew, maintenance and safety drills
- Assist the Master in navigation, watchkeeping and voyage planning
- Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and company procedures
- Monitor stability, cargo condition and tank cleaning operations
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer license for Oil/Chemical tankers
- STCW certificates in accordance with rank and vessel type
- Strong experience on Oil/Chemical tankers in a senior deck position
- Veg oil experience
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership, safety awareness and teamwork skills
