**Description**
OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for an oil/chemical tanker trading worldwide under Norway (NIS) flag. The ideal candidate is a hands-on deck officer with strong cargo handling and shipboard management skills, preferably holding valid US and Schengen visas.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and supervise deck crew in all deck operations
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharging, tank cleaning and ballasting
- Ensure safe and efficient cargo handling of oil and chemicals in line with company and industry standards
- Maintain navigational watch and assist the Master in the safe conduct of the voyage
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment, cargo systems and safety gear
- Implement and monitor safety, environmental and security procedures on board
- Prepare and maintain deck and cargo-related documentation and reports
**Requirements**
- Valid Chief Officer license (unlimited) appropriate for oil/chemical tankers
- Minimum 1 year of experience as Chief Officer on oil/chemical tankers
- STCW certificates valid and in accordance with rank and vessel type
- Good knowledge of tanker operations, ISM, ISPS and MARPOL
- Medically fit for sea service
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Preferably holding valid US visa and Schengen visa
