Description
Multiple Electricians required for container vessels under Singapore flag, trading worldwide. Responsible for safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems on board, in line with company and regulatory standards.
Position Overview
- Role: Electrician (ELEC)
- Location: Worldwide, joining in Asia
- Project: Container Vessels
- Rotation: 4 months (+/- 1) on & 2 months off
- Duration: 4 months - with option to extend or become permanent based on availability and performance, with rejoining bonus
- Rank Experience: 3 months in rank
- Container Experience: None required - though preferred
- EU/EEA residence is required
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and repair all shipboard electrical and electronic equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting for power generation and distribution systems
- Maintain and repair reefer monitoring systems and cargo-related electrical equipment
- Assist with maintenance of navigation and communication equipment as required
- Ensure electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work systems are followed
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and spare parts usage
- Support engine and deck departments during operations and port calls
Requirements
- At least 3 months sea service in rank as Electrician (ELEC)
- Previous container experience is not required - though preferred
- Valid STCW III/6 or III/7 COC
- All required STCW certificates valid and in accordance with vessel type and trade
- Medically fit for duty as per flag and company standards
- Able to communicate effectively in English, spoken and written
